Subsequently, the three teachers, representatives of our 2022 undergraduate students, and the alumni held a symposium. At the symposium, the three teachers first expressed their welcome to alumni returning to the college and introduced the development and landmark achievements of the College and the department in recent years. Secondly, the alumni attending the symposium introduced their current development situation and the benefits of undergraduate studies for their future growth. Facing the representatives of the 2022 undergraduate students, the alumni gave sincere messages: "Four years of college are the foundation for a solid foundation, and we must study earnestly." "Determine the future direction of employment as soon as possible, and if you want to study for a master's degree, study seriously, and if you want to work, actively practice. "Attending college will eventually lead to entering society, and the first is to learn how to be a human being, and the second is how to do things. The study is not only to master the theory and industry knowledge of the major, but also to learn how to communicate better with others, and to cultivate their abilities according to their own goals. Finally, the teachers put forward their ardent expectations for the alumni representatives, hoping that they can contribute to the construction of the college and the major in the future.
In addition, the first alumni representative majoring in the MICE Economy and Management was invited to share their experiences with the new students of the 2023 class, including their employment prospects, professional advantages, and undergraduate planning arrangements. Alumni representatives mentioned that "Nankai is a great platform that provides great opportunities for everyone, and the exhibition major, as a comprehensive major, is a very comprehensive discipline that is beneficial for future work." They also suggested that younger students arrange their university plans according to their future goals and improve themselves. They encouraged the students to study hard and suggested that they spend more time with themselves, know themselves better, exercise their abilities, and make plans in advance. The experience sharing ended with enthusiastic applause from classmates, who all expressed that they had gained a lot and benefited greatly.
This event highlights the alumni's love for their alma mater and recognition of their professional disciplines. Multiple exchange activities have also helped our students deepen their understanding of the major of MICE Economy and Management, enhanced their discipline identity, and be beneficial for promoting the development of the Department of MICE Economy and Management.
