Academic experience

Dr. Zhang, Beile is the lecturer at Nankai University. He finished his PhD in University of Queensland Business School. His research interests focus on the tourism sustainability, consumer behaviour and tourism carbon offsetting. He has published several journal articles in Journal of Travel Research of Journal of Sustainable Tourism regarding the carbon offsetting marketing and got involved in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Grant project. Dr. Zhang also works as peer reviewers for Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Travel Research, etc.

Industry experience, including industry related professional development

From 2018 to 2019, Dr. Zhang works as industry intern in Ecotourism Australia assisting in annual certification renewal of certified operators, taking out a strategic comparison between Ecotourism Australia and its competitors which has been acknowledged in the board meeting, and helping with the updating of new certification categories.
