Academic experience

ZHANG Kun, associate professor at the College of Tourism and Service Management, Nankai University.

Her research interests are tourist perception, behavioural dynamics and sustainable tourism development by employing big pictural data and computer vision technology. She has hosted two national research projects and participated in six provincial and above level projects. She has published SSCI/CSSCI/EI -academic index papers on the Journal of “Tourism Management”, “Annals of Tourism Research”, “Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research”, “Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Education”, etc.

She is the broad member of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research” and “Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism”. She is anonymous reviewer of several journals such as “Tourism Management and Journal of Destination Marketing and Management”. In 2020, she was nominated as the "Outstanding Teacher" by the China Tourism Association Tourism Education Committee.

She has 15 months working experience in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China (Former National Tourism Bureau).
