Academic experience

Dr. Meng Fanqiang is an associate professor of College of Tourism and Service Management in Nankai University.

His research interests include human resource management in service industry, tourism enterprise management and basic tourism. His papers have been published in important academic journals such as Economic Management, Research on Financial Issues, Japanese Journal, East China Economic Management, China's Human Resources Development, Science and Technology Management, Scientific Management Research, Science and Technology Management Research, etc.  His paper has been reprinted by the copy of the National People's Congress for many times, and the article "Strategic Human Resource Management" has been reprinted by Xinhua Digest. He published the national planning textbook salary management for the Tenth Five Year Plan and two academic monographs with the themes of "Super Organizational Human Resource Management" and "Integration of Tourism Industry". He has won the second prize of China Human Resources Management Teaching and Practice Research and the third prize of the fourth Tianjin Higher Education Research Excellent Thesis.

Dr. Meng Fanqiang once presided over the Tianjin Social Science Planning Project on "Construction of Human Resource Management System in Service Industry". He has participated in government funded research projects such as the Pre-feasibility Study of Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center, the Management Innovation System of Tianjin Binhai New Area, the Development Strategy of Sanya International Tourism City in Hainan Province, and the Urban Development Strategy of Sansha city in Hainan Province. He has participated in or presided over the strategic research projects of Tianjin TEDA holdings, Tianjin eco city, Tianjin Jialihe Animal Husbandry and other enterprises, and provided valuable suggestions for the tourism business development strategies of these enterprises.
