Academic experience

Dr. XU Hong Xu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at College of Tourism and Service Management. Her research interests focus on tourism industry ecology, tourism destination competitiveness, service enterprise innovation and strategic management, leisure agriculture and rural tourism, etc. She has chaired or participated in nearly 100 high-level research projects, including NSFC, Key Program of NSSFC (Sub-Subject), MOE Project of Humanities and Social Sciences, Key Program of Tianjin Social Science Foundation, Project of the National Tourism Administration of China (CNTA) Foundation, etc. She has published nearly 170 papers or books, monographs, reports, etc.

Professor Xu is the anonymous reviewer of several academic journals and evaluation expert of several national research projects.

 

Industry experience, including industry related professional development

Professor Xu is the Vice President of China Tourism Association China Women Travel Committee, the President of Tianjin Tourism Education Association, and the Director of Expert Committee of Tianjin Leisure Agriculture Association.

Professor Xu is a member of the First Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Expert Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic China, the Seventh Federation of Social Sciences Committee of Tianjin. She serves as Decision-making Advisory Committee Member and Special Researcher of Tianjin Municipal Government.
