Academic experience

Dr. WANG, Qingjuan is an associate professor of the College of Tourism and Service Management, Nankai University. Her research areas cover organizational behaviour & human resource management (OB&HRM), especially OB&HRM for tourism and service industry. She instructed courses for both graduate and undergraduate students, i.e. Research Methodology, English for Tourism Practitioners, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Cross-cultural Management, New Operational Modes of Tourism. Her research interests focus on organizational justice, cross-cultural management, Chinese culture and service orientation. She has been the leading or main researcher of National or provincial projects, such as those funded by the NationalNaturalScienceFoundationofChina (NSFC). Her works were published at top academic journals and conferences, both in English and Chinese. She was the author of the chapter human resource management for travel agenciesin book Travel agency management, and the leading translator of the book U theory. She served as anonymous reviewer for NSFC and Management Decision.

.Industry experience, including industry related professional development

From 2010 to now, Dr. Wang and her team have been cooperating with and provided consulting service for hospitality and tourism organizations, completed a series of research projects regarding how to motivate and retain human resources in tourism and service industry, Professor Wang has been an engineer and HR manager before joining Nankai University, which will continue to contribute her further research of human resource management for hospitality and tourism organizations.

Dr. Wang has been a member of IACMR and had been a member of AOM, she actively participates in projects funded by governments and enterprises aiming to enhance the development of human resources in global tourism and service industry.
