Academic experience
Dr. Chen is a Professor in College of Tourism and Service Management at Nankai University. He also serves associate director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Development of Modern Tourism, and professional editor of Nankai Business Review.
He is the principal Investigator of several National grants such as “Research of city tourism destination development strategy based on the stakeholder perspective” supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China, “Research of National Science and Technology Tourism Park” supported by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. His research interests include: destination marketing, service marketing and consumer behaviour. His research has been published in academic journals such as Tourism Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Current Issues in Tourism, Tourism Tribune, among others. He was elected to “Tourism Young Expert Training Program” of China National Tourism Administration in 2013.
