Programme Objectives


1. High-level application talents in tourism management and with high political literacy, all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, and meeting the needs of the time;

2. Professional research talents with comprehensive professional knowledge of tourism management, integration of practice and theory, and independent scientific research ability;

3. New management talents with international vision, strategic thinking ability, pioneering spirit and innovation ability.



Graduate Outcomes


1. Literacy Requirements

(1) Humanistic quality: Students are required to adhere to the correct political direction, be ready for the devotion to home and country and have a strong sense of social responsibility, and have a fine scientific attitude and academic ethics, have humanistic and social science literacy, understand historical and cultural background, and be able to identify scientific research problems with Chinese characteristics.

(2) Professional quality: Students are required to master the solid basic theories and systematic professional knowledge of the discipline, and have strong ability in written and oral articulation; have innovative spirit and basic literacy and ability to engage in scientific research, teaching and management; be able to understand and abide by tourism professional ethics and norms in practice and fulfill social responsibilities.

2. Knowledge requirements

(1) Research methods and basic theoretical knowledge: through the study of service management, selected reading of tourism classics, applied research methods, econometrics and other courses, the students are required to have a relatively solid theoretical foundation and diverse research tools.

(2) Professional directional knowledge: through the design of professional directions such as "service and leisure management", "tourism enterprise management", "tourism big data management", "event management" and "tourism destination management" and the study of supporting courses, the students are required to understand multiple fields of tourism management research and focus on a certain field for in-depth study and research.

3. Ability requirements

(1) Problem identification and independent research ability: The students are required to be able to identify and analyze relevant problems in the development of tourism industry by applying the basic theory of tourism management, scientific research methods and unique scenarios, and form research results and corresponding solutions.

(2) Industry leadership: The students are required to be able to integrate theoretical research with practice, grasp the development trend of tourism, understand the impact of social and economic development on tourism and the impact of tourism on environmental, social and economic sustainable development; have the ability to fulfill corporate responsibility, industrial responsibility and social responsibility, and be able to play a leading role in the development of tourism with a sense of innovation

(3) International communication ability: The studetns are required to have a certain international vision, be able to communicate and engage in research in a cross-cultural context, and be able to transfer research results and theories with Chinese features in international academic research.
