Academic experience
Dr. WANG Hongyu is the Postdoctoral researcher at Nankai University. Her research interests focus on the learning behaviour of tourists, cultural heritage sustainability, service learning, learning science etc. She has published relevant articles in major international refereed journals. She has also received several grands supporting her research on the above-mentioned area. She developed the ‘touristic learning’ theory which lay great foundation on educational tours practices. Recent years, she devoted herself to museum learning experience and contributed to a more inclusive social educational environment in public museum.
Industry experience, including industry related professional development
Dr WANG Hongyu actively participated in projects funded by governments and enterprises since she was an undergraduate student. The projects she participated including but limited to National tourism image development, Rural tourism planning, Preservation and enhancement on world cultural heritage, Protection of natural resorts.
Dr. WANG endeavour on tourism research that aiming to enhance the development of tourism industry.
