Academic experience

Dr. CHEN is the Postdoctoral fellow at Nankai University. She obtained her B.Sc. degree in tourism management at Beijing International Studies University and M.Sc. in international hospitality management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. When she was in Hong Kong, she worked as research assistant in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong. Then she completed her Ph.D. degree in University of Surrey at United Kingdom at 2020. In the meantime, she also served International Federation for Information Technologies and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) as the General Secretary between 2018 to 2020.

Her research interest centres around services marketing in the travel and hospitality industry, with a particular focus on sharing economy and peer-to-peer accommodation. She also served as an assistant editor for Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism.

Industry experience, including industry related professional development

In 2013-2014, Dr. Chen worked in Sheraton Hohhot hotel as a human resources intern.
