To further embody the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, reinforce the study of party history among freshmen, and inspire students to establish lofty ideals and beliefs, members of the College of Tourism and Service Management's Party Committee, along with all 2023 undergraduate freshmen, recently visited the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorials for a thematic practical learning activity titled "Strong State I Cast Responsibility, Youth for the Future". The event was attended by Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Chen Ye, Vice President, Yang Xiaojing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the College, freshmen counselors, and the entire freshman class.

The visit commenced with an entry into the main exhibition hall, where teachers and students collectively admired the statues of Comrade Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao, gaining insights into the characters of these great individuals. Guided by lecturers, they explored the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao exhibition hall, which displayed numerous historical artifacts and photographs. The exhibition highlighted Premier Zhou Enlai's lifelong struggle for the happiness of the Chinese people, the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and human progress. Additionally, it showcased Deng Yingchao's significant contributions to women's liberation, national construction, and the couple's shared sacrifices for their common revolutionary ideals. The section detailing Premier Zhou Enlai’s academic achievements during his time at Nankai particularly resonated with the visitors, inspiring them with Nankai's spirit of "public energy" and patriotism. Learning about Premier Zhou Enlai's dedication during the last 57 days of his life, many teachers and students were deeply moved to tears. Liu Xinyuan, an undergraduate student from the 2023 cohort of the School of Tourism and Service, expressed that Premier Zhou Enlai is a lifelong role model for her studies and life, and her dream to follow in his footsteps as a Nankai alumna was reinforced. The visit to the memorials allowed students to experience the noble character and grand ideals of Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao. The consensus among the students was clear: as the new generation of Nankai, they should uphold Nankai's century-old patriotic tradition, actively engage in Chinese-style modernization, and contribute to the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Following the visit to the main exhibition hall, the group explored various other sections, including the temporary exhibition hall "Great Love Without Frontiers - Zhou Enlai, Deng Yingchao, and the Children", "Young Strong is China Strong - Zhou Enlai Nankai Composition Appreciation", the West Flower Hall special exhibition in the Memorial Museum, and the "New Haimen" ship display area. The rich history encapsulated in these spaces provided further insights into the lives and deeds of Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao.
