Recently, Liu Yafei, a doctoral candidate of our college in 2017, was awarded the excellent doctoral dissertation of Nankai University for her thesis "Research on the Factors Affecting the Performance of Assets Restructuring of Tourism Enterprises from the Perspective of Tourism Investors". This paper combines a large amount of data generated by tourism investors' online behavior with traditional financial market data and tourism enterprises' asset restructuring event data to measure tourism investors' attention to asset restructuring events and perceived reputation, studies the performance of tourism enterprises' restructuring from the perspective of tourism investors, and finds new influencing factors affecting the performance of tourism enterprises' asset restructuring. Furthermore, she further explores the moderating effect of media attention, type of restructuring event, and announcement date of asset restructuring event on the relationship between the attention and perceived reputation of tourism investors and the asset restructuring performance of tourism enterprises.

Since Liu Yafei joined Professor Li Hui's research team, she has focused on the field of assets reorganization of tourism enterprises under the guidance of Professor Li Hui. A series of research results on the relationship between tourism enterprise investor behavior and asset restructuring performance, and tourism enterprise value have been published in the international top journals in the field of tourism management, such as Tourism Management and Annals of Tourism Research. After her doctorate, she joined the College of Tourism of Hainan University and continued to carry out teaching and scientific research in the field of tourism management.

It is reported that 41 excellent doctoral theses of Nankai University in 2023 have been selected after deliberation by the 10th meeting of the academic degree Evaluation Committee of Nankai University. This is the first time that the doctoral thesis of our college has been awarded as the outstanding doctoral thesis of Nankai University, which indicates that the doctoral training level of our college has been steadily improved and is an important display of the promotion of high-quality postgraduate training under the guidance of high-quality scientific research. The college will continue to promote the construction of the "double first-class" discipline and the construction of the world-class discipline of tourism and leisure management, and escort the training of the top compound talents who "understand tourism, technology, with international vision and cultural confidence".
