On October 24, 2023, Wang Aiqin, Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province, and her delegation visited Nankai University and attended the theme promotion event of ShanxiIntangible Cultural HeritageEntering Nankai, organized by the College of Tourism and Service Management. Yang Qingshan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, warmly met with the guests such as Wang Aiqin, Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province, Wang Jihong, Second level Inspector, Zhang Qiaoping, Director of the Regulations Department, and Wang Fei, Researcher of the Propaganda and Promotion Department, at the Balitai Campus. He put forward a series of specific requirements to promote better service of the tourism discipline in Nankai to the development of Shanxi's culture and tourism and achieve win-win cooperation. Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Tourism and Service Management, and Professor Xu Hong, Dean of the College of Tourism and Service Management, accompanied the meeting. Niu Wenli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, accompanied Director Wang Aiqin and her delegation to inspect the promotional activities at the Jinnan Campus and jointly felt the warm atmosphere on site.

On the morning of the 24th, Director Wang Aiqin and her delegation presided over an expert symposium at the service building of the Balitai Campus of Nankai University. They listened to the opinions and suggestions from experts Xu Hong, Ma Xiaolong, Yang Dejin, Zhou Jie, as well as representatives of teachers from Shanxi province such as Li Chunxiao, Jiao Yan, and Dai Meiling, who were hired by our university's Shanxi Culture and Tourism Expert Committee. The attending teachers enthusiastically and actively provided suggestions for the development of Shanxi's culture and tourism, and reached many consensus on promoting cooperation and win-win between our university's tourism and service disciplines and Shanxi's culture and tourism. After the meeting, Director Wang Aiqin and her delegation visited the College of Tourism and Service Management and Library of Jinnan Campus.

Accompanied by Niu Wenli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai, Director Wang Aiqin and her delegation visited the Prime Minister's Statue Square at the Jinnan Campus of Nankai University to attend the event "Shanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Theme Promotion". This event was organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province to include cultural and tourism administrative departments, cultural and tourism enterprises and institutions, and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. It attracted more than 1000 teachers and students from all over the university to participate in and exchange ideas, not only enhancing everyone's enthusiasm for "read ten thousand books and travel ten thousand miles", but also further enriching campus cultural life, enhancing the cultural confidence and consciousness of teachers and students. At the same time, it played a significant role in promoting and marketing Shanxi's culture and tourism, and continuously improving the brand awareness, reputation, and influence of the "Shanxi China: Ancient Civilization and Excellent Scenery" brand. In addition, on October 23rd, Director Wang Aiqin and her delegation also visited the cultural and museum tourism project of the Li Shutong Former Residence Memorial Hall operated by our college alumni Tu Jinge and Yu Huihui.
