On September 15th, the Ministry of Education announced the evaluation results of the 2023 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Research Planning Fund, Youth Fund, and Self-raised Fund projects. The research project "Research on the Causes and Results of Leisure Reshaping of Service Industry Employees" applied by the team of Associate Professor Wang Qingjuan of our college was approved for the planning fund project.
Guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Outline for the Development of National Tourism and Leisure (2022-2030), the approved project aims to conduct research on the leisure practice of service industry employees, aiming to "accelerate the high-quality development of national tourism and leisure, and better meet the needs of the people for a better life.". The study on the antecedents and outcomes of leisure reshaping among service industry employees focuses on the leisure reshaping behavior of service industry employees, aiming to reveal the impact of leisure reshaping on organizational behavior and social well-being of service industry employees, explore the antecedents of leisure reshaping among service industry employees, and analyze the mediating and regulatory mechanisms involved. This project is based on the cross perspective of human resource management and tourism leisure. It provides innovative ideas for improving the quality of leisure activities for service industry employees, promoting work leisure balance, improving organizational performance and enhancing employee well-being, and achieving a symbiotic and win-win ecosystem among the organization, employees, and society. It is of great significance for cultivating modern leisure concepts in China and promoting the high-quality development of national tourism and leisure.
