Recently, the Tianjin Education Commission announced the establishment of the 2023 Tianjin College undergraduate teaching quality and teaching reform research project, as well as the selection results of Tianjin College labor education courses. The teaching reform project of Li Xiaoyi's team in our college, "Research on the Construction of Tourism Virtual Simulation Experiment Teaching Curriculum System Based on the Concept of "Combining Lessons and Competitions", won the general project funding of Tianjin University Undergraduate Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Research Plan. At the same time, the course "Service Learning: Campus Tourism of Nankai University" developed by the team of teachers Yu Haibo and Meng Fanqiang was successfully selected for the labor education curriculum cultivation project of Tianjin colleges and universities.
Based on the virtual simulation software and curriculum system of tourism management developed by our institute and adhering to the concept of "promoting learning and teaching through competition", the teaching reform project chaired by Teacher Li Xiaoyi aims to promote the innovation and development of experimental teaching of tourism management through the establishment of a nationwide competitive platform for college students of tourism management. The course "Service Learning: Nankai University Campus Tourism" developed by teachers Yu Haibo and Meng Fanqiang aims to cultivate students' awareness and ability of professional and social service through the planning and organization of Nankai University campus tourism. The course has accumulated fruitful results, including Nankai University campus tour guide service, campus tour map, campus tour manual, campus tour guide manual, etc.In addition, a proposal on campus management put forward by Yu Haibo, the course leader, in 2020 has been adopted by the school, and related stories have been reported by China Daily website, Tianjin Daily and other media.
The approval of our two Tianjin teaching projects fully demonstrates the college's great importance to the quality of undergraduate education and the construction of first-class courses.
