    Publication time:2023-08-24 18:56

The National Natural Science Foundation of China unveiled the results of its 2023 centralized acceptance period application project on August 24th, granting approval to three projects from our college. Among them are two general projects and one Youth Science Foundation project. Professor Li Hui's proposal, "Explainable Dynamic Integrated Prediction of Future Value of Event Driven Tourism Enterprises Based on Multimodal Data," and Associate Professor Liang Sai's submission, "Research on the Formation Mechanism and Governance Strategy of Opportunistic Behavior in the Shared Homestay Market from the Perspective of Incomplete Contracts," have been greenlit as general projects. Additionally, Dr. Ma Shigui's investigation into "Food Delivery Supply Chain Decision-Making Considering Multi-Subject Environmental Responsibility under the Background of 'Dual Carbon'" has earned approval for the Youth Science Fund project.

Aligned with the spirit outlined in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China's report, our college remains steadfastly focused on addressing the characteristic practical issues within China's tourism management discipline. We continue to advance initiatives such as "accelerating the development of the digital economy, fostering deep integration between the digital and real economies, and establishing an internationally competitive digital industry cluster." Additionally, we are committed to "adhering to a path of balanced development encompassing production, quality living standards, and environmental sustainability, thus achieving sustainable development for the Chinese nation." Our strides in "strengthening the construction of fundamental disciplines, emerging fields, and interdisciplinary domains, while hastening the establishment of world-class universities and specialized disciplines with distinct Chinese characteristics" have been substantial.

These approved projects concentrate on the innovative management of diverse tourism formats, embracing a cross-perspective that integrates intelligent technology, the digital economy, and environmental responsibility. They pioneer groundbreaking research into fundamental issues related to various facets of the tourism industry, such as the value of tourism enterprises, consumer behavior in tourism, and decision-making within the tourism supply chain. This endeavor effectively propels the evolution of Nankai University's tourism discipline, characterized by its "new liberal arts" approach, and accelerates the establishment of a world-class discipline in tourism and leisure management within our college.
