On July 3, 2023, the summer camp of the College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University officially opened. The summer camp website reported 535 people successfully, from 153 universities in China, and finally approved 53 people to camp. The summer camp was an online format where students and faculty met in the "cloud" for a 2-day summer camp.

Associate Professor Li Chunxiao, Director of graduate education, College of Tourism and Service Management, Nankai University, presided over the opening ceremony. First of all, Professor Xu Hong, dean of the College, expressed a warm welcome to the students through video, introduced the profound history of Nankai tourism to the students, and also wished the students a full harvest in the study of this summer camp. After that, Professor Yao Yanbo, vice dean of the College, introduced the characteristics, training methods, and resource allocation of graduate education to the students in detail.

In the last part of the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Li Chunxiao introduced the faculty of the college to the students. The teachers appeared through video and interacted with the students. The students actively "called" and "liked" the teachers in the comment section, which created a warm and happy atmosphere.

The summer camp held a wealth of academic exchange activities. Professor Li Hui, vice dean of the College, introduced the academic frontier and research progress of tourism management discipline in the lecture, and provided professional suggestions for the students in journal publication and paper writing. Associate Professor Li Xiaoyi, deputy director of the Tourism Experiment Center, and Associate Professor Zhou Jie, director of the Department of Conference and Exhibition Economy and Management, gave rich and in-depth lectures for the students from the perspectives of tourism management and exhibition management, respectively.

After the lecture, Associate Professor Li Chunxiao called the campers to meet and exchange, and the students exchanged ideas and brainstorms in the form of groups online, colliding with wonderful ideas. At the end of the opening ceremony, the students took a group photo.

At this point, the 2023 Summer camp activities of the College of Tourism and Service Management have come to a successful end. The two-day online lecture and exchange deepened the students' knowledge and understanding of the College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University, broadened their professional horizons and made new partners. We hope the campers can achieve good results and meet again in Nankai!
