On April 4th, Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Tourism and Service Management, led a delegation to Beijing to carry out a job-seeking and career-expanding activity. Yang Xiaojing, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the College, Huang Jing, the director of the Tourism Department, Zhou Jie, the director of the MICE Economic and Management Department, Jiao Yan, the director of Nankai University MTA Education Center, Wang Zhao, the secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College, and 20 representatives from various undergraduate and graduate programs in the College participated in the activity.
The team first visited China Comfort Travel Group Co., Ltd., engaging in discussions on issues such as industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, and internship employment. The event was attended by Zhou Renren, Group Assistant President, Wang Doudou, Head of the Human Resources Department, Feng Tian, Head of the Marketing Department, and Zhao Lei, Deputy Director of the General Administration Office. Zhao Xuemei, Executive Director of China Comfort Travel Group (Shanxi) Co., Ltd., and a 2023 MTA alumna, accompanied the delegation during the exchange session. Feng Tian provided a comprehensive introduction to Comfort Group, and participants interacted on topics related to tourism talent development and career planning. The encouragement for students to balance professional skills and personal qualities was emphasized.
Subsequently, the team visited BES Culture and Tourism Group, where they had in-depth discussions with key figures such as Professor Wu Bihu, Chief Scientist of the group, Wang Jue, Honorary President, and Zhao Yongzhong, Vice President. The discussions focused on establishing a close, complementary, and mutually beneficial school-enterprise cooperation mechanism. Wang Su, Director of Human Resources Administration, and Qiao Ruijing, Deputy General Manager of the project company, provided detailed insights into group culture, school-enterprise cooperation, and project management. Zhao Yongzhong exchanged thoughts with faculty and students on deep cooperation projects, including student internships and industry salons.
The College of Tourism and Service Management will continue to visit leading industry companies such as tourism groups and Ctrip Group to sustain job-seeking and career-expanding activities. In the near future, the College will also hold a job fair and actively seek to open up more internship and job opportunities for students, as well as provide high-quality graduates to key industry units.
