On the afternoon of November 18th, the College of Tourism and Service Management held a propaganda backbone training to enhance the propaganda capability of students. This training invited Ms Fu Kun from the publicity department of the Party Committee of the university to share publicity knowledge online. More than 70 people participated in the training, including all members of the media center of the college, the publicity committee of each class, and the propaganda backbone of each department of the league and school organization.
Ms Fu Kun first introduced the elements of news, key components of information, and focused on the campus news writing and photos shooting through various typical examples. As for the writing of campus news, Ms Fu Kun divided campus news into lectures and meetings, and introduced the writing skills to students in detail from the aspects of format and content. As for the shooting of news photos, she emphasized the specific requirements of news photos from three aspects: elements, comfort and features. She encouraged students to get close enough to take press release photos. In addition, Ms Fu Kun also explained other press release formats, such as inverted pyramid structure, short message and so on, and encouraged students to go beyond themselves to try.
The training has achieved good results. The students said they had gained a lot. They had a systematic understanding of news writing and photo shooting, and planned to apply them to future advocacy work to better serve other faculties and students.
