On March 4th-5th, the China Tourism Education Forum, hosted by the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association and organized by the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat-Sen University, was successfully held in Guangzhou with the guidance of the China Tourism Association. The "Challenge, Change, and Action" theme included a leading forum, four parallel forums, and four roundtable forums, with more than 400 experts, scholars, guests, and member representatives from across the country participating. The forum was the fourth member conference, and during the election, Prof. Xu Hong of our college was re-elected as the vice chairman.

During the forum's keynote speech on the afternoon of March 4th, Prof. Xu Hong, the dean of the School of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University and vice chairman of the Tourism Education Branch, released the "Blue Book of China's Tourism Education 2021-2022". The book was compiled by the Tourism Education Branch and is divided into five parts: the general report, the sub-report, theoretical research, special reports, and typical cases. At the parallel forum "Challenges and Innovations in the Training of Tourism Talents in the New Era", moderated by Prof. Zhang Chaozhi from the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat-Sen University, Dean Xu Hong shared Nankai University's practice in tourism education reform, emphasizing that education and teaching reform should return to cultivating people and enhancing their abilities, achieving the dissemination of knowledge, understanding of the meaning of life, standardization of will and behaviour, and inspiring students to know and serve China.
