On December 30, 2022, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the completion status of the annual projects, youth projects, and western projects. This is the first key issue in our country regarding the global tourism system.
Through the logical analysis of "theory-mechanism-governance", that is what is explained theoretically, why it is analyzed in mechanism, and what is solved in terms of governance, integrated with theory and practice, collaborative innovation, combined with qualitative and quantitative methods, and with multidisciplinary and cross-field joint research and innovation, this key project has put forward a series of original and first-episode ideas. Professor Shi Peihua researched and promoted the development of the all-for-one tourism in our country, and was responsible for researching and drafting the "Guidelines for the Creation of National Global Tourism Demonstration Areas" and other national documents related to all-for-one tourism. The subject formed a 500,000-word monograph "Categorical and Hierarchical Systematic Research on Connotation Characteristics, Realization Paths and Promotion Policies of All-for-one Tourism", which included 6 chapters and 33 sections. The six chapters respectively sort out the connotative characteristics, academic logic, dynamic mechanism and realization path of global tourism, index system and evaluation system, development model and case analysis, promotion policy and innovation system, international comparison and thinking of the times, focusing on the connotation characteristics, dynamic mechanism, evaluation system, model characteristics, countermeasures and international comparison of all-for-one tourism. In addition to monographs, 27 academic papers have been published successively, including 8 CSSCI papers, 1 SCI paper, 4 Peking University core journal papers, 1 Guangming Daily paper, 8 China Tourism News, 13 general journal academic papers, and published 3 monographs. In addition, the key project was also combined with student training, including 1 doctoral dissertation, 5 master's dissertations, and 2 bachelor's dissertations, of which 2 were awarded outstanding graduate thesis by Nankai University. The subject research also provided senior management reports to national ministries and provincial and municipal party committees and governments, and 5 suggestions were approved and adopted by provincial and ministerial leaders. It has formed an achievement system integrating monographs, periodical collections, undergraduate, master, and doctoral thesis, government documents and senior management reports, and the team has formed the most concentrated global tourism research results in the country.
The topic focuses on international two-way comparison, returns to the essence of tourism and the characteristics of the times, strives to form academic achievements that reflect Chinese characteristics and can communicate with the world, and explores the construction of tourism development governance theory in developing countries with Chinese characteristics.
