Attendees at the event included the Party Secretary, Wang Chenghui, the Dean, Xu Hong, Vice Deans Yao Yanbo, Li Hui, and Yang Dejin, the Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean, Yang Xiaojing, the Director of the Tourism Department, Huang Jing, the Director of the Exhibition Economy and Management Department, Zhou Jie, as well as postgraduate supervisors and other professional teachers. Graduating students from the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs of the 2022 cohort participated in the ceremony. The event was presided over by Vice Dean Yao Yanbo.
At 8:30 am, the ceremony officially began, with Yao Yanbo introducing the academic achievements of the graduating class of 2022. Li Chunxiao, the director of graduate education, announced the list of students from the college who would participate in the tassel ceremony, while the leaders of the college and two department heads presented the bachelor's degree recipients with their tassels and certificates. Xu Hong personally presented certificates to each master's and doctoral graduate, flipping their tassels, and took a group photo with them and their advisors.
Subsequently, Dean Xu Hong delivered a speech, warmly congratulating the class of 2022 on completing their university studies and embarking on a new journey, while also urging them to be bold and ambitious in pursuing their dreams and embrace the grand ambition of the Chinese Dream, and fulfill their vow to integrate themselves into a larger whole. She also encouraged students to enjoy the process of striving, cultivate a down-to-earth and detail-oriented style, and serve the country and society with a broader mind and vision. Finally, she emphasized that the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is always their home, and they are welcome to visit anytime.
After the college farewell ceremony, all the graduates watched the Nankai University graduation ceremony together, listening to speeches from President Cao Xuetao, alumni representatives, faculty representatives, and student representatives, inspiring their spirits and boosting their morale.
After the ceremony, the attendees mingled in the college hall, watching videos that captured their university experiences, tasting delicious snacks prepared by the college, and taking a group photo in front of the commemorative board.
