On the afternoon of July 14th, Wang Chenghui, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Tourism and Service Management, Xu Hong, the Dean of the College, Yang Dejin, the Associate Dean of the College, and Liang Shuling, went to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Wang Aiqin, the Director of Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhang Zhiren, the Deputy Director of Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Li Gui, the Deputy Director of the Department, Wang Jihong, the Second-level Inspector, and more than 10 persons in charge of relevant departments attended the signing ceremony. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Director, Li Gui.
As the Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province, Wang Aiqin first expressed the warm welcome and gratitude to the leaders of the college. She focused on the basic condition, resource advantages and development ideas of cultural and tourism development of Shanxi Province. She emphasized that the goal of Shanxi's cultural tourism development is to become an internationally renowned tourist destination, and in order to achieve this goal, the cultural tourism development and work of Shanxi Province requires multi-party assistance and supports from the think tank, especially breakthroughs in terms of personnel training, decision-making consultation, project planning, standard development, marketing promotion, subject research and other aspects. She believed that Nankai University, as a leading university in China's tourism education, has always worked as a benchmark and leader of the industry, and has always paid specific attention to the development of cultural tourism in Shanxi with a project service foundation. Therefore, it is important to further strengthen pragmatic, sustainable, comprehensive and fruitful cooperation, fulfilling the mission of "knowing China • serving China", and helping the transformation and upgrading of cultural tourism in Shanxi. As the Deputy Director, Li Gui also pointed out during the chairing of the meeting that the cooperation of the college is of great significance to promote the development of cultural tourism in Shanxi, and is also the greatest intellectual support, looking forward to the two sides being able to create new brilliance in cooperation.
Afterwards, the Dean of the College, Professor Xu Hong introduced the overall situation of the College and the relevant cooperation with Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. She said that the cooperation between Shanxi and Nankai has deep historical roots, and the dedication of the Shanxi people coincides with the school motto as “Yun Gong Yun Neng”. She hoped that in the future, the cooperation with the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism could be further strengthened in the area of all-for-one tourism, rural revitalization, red tourism, health tourism and cultural tourism, forming substantive cooperation results. Finally, as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Wang Chenghui pointed out in his concluding remark on behalf of the college that we are very grateful for the meticulous arrangement of the department, and also very cherish this opportunity to deepen the cooperation, and the College is willing to make every effort to promote cooperation and achieve win-win results. He said that tourism is an applied discipline and an industry of happiness, which is consistent with the original mission of seeking happiness for the people, and the college has the conditions, strength, responsibility and mission to help the development of cultural tourism of Shanxi Province.
In the discussion session, the leaders of the college had a full and in-depth view exchange on the specific issues encountered by the persons in charge of various departments and offices in their practical work. After the session, the two sides signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, clarifying the direction of strategic cooperation, as well as specific matters such as the regular mutual visit and exchange mechanism of "departments and institutes", the daily contact mechanism, and the project entrustment consultation mechanism.
