(Correspondent: Chen Meili and Li Yiqing) The "May Flowers" class singing event was successfully held by three branch teams of the Business Administration major of the Tourism and Service College on May 4, 2022. On the occasion of Youth Day, the event showcased youthful vitality and expressed patriotic enthusiasm through soaring songs and aspirations of young people.
Students from Class 1 of Business Administration performed the song "Together to the Future," expressing their youthful dreams of lighting up the Chinese dream. At the end of the performance, they released paper planes together, expressing their unlimited yearning for a better tomorrow. Class 2 of Business Administration adapted the special version of "Displacement in Space and Time" from the May Fourth Movement, firming their responsibility and belief to contribute to the construction of the socialist cause and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Class 3 of Business Administration sang the centennial version of "Youth of the Party." The strength of the youth determines the strength of the country, and the prosperity of the youth determines the prosperity of the country. With hope and sunshine in their hearts, they inherited the spirit of the May Fourth Movement with patriotism as its core and expressed their respect for their predecessors through their songs.
The event was well received and included a public voting segment, with more than three thousand people currently participating in the voting process. In addition, students actively organized and participated in the event, fully demonstrating the vigor and enthusiasm of youth, and gaining profound insights. Tang Shuyi, a student from the class of 2021, stated: "Under the leadership of the class committee, class members brainstormed and jointly planned the class singing activity, which not only strengthened the friendship between classmates but also prompted students to understand the history and assume responsibilities. It was a very meaningful event."
