To promote the implementation of the "Nankai University Graduate Education Quality Enhancement Action Plan", summarize and promote excellent teaching achievements and advanced experiences, deepen the reform of graduate education and teaching with high-quality teaching achievements, and improve the quality of graduate education and teaching, the university launched the evaluation of the school-level graduate teaching achievements award on September 15, 2022. Two academic master teaching achievements of our institute, "Exploration and Practice of the Two-Way Internationalization Model of Graduate Education in the Context of New Liberal Arts Background" and "New Model of Graduate Education under the Background of Industry-Education Integration—Taking Service Management Courses as an Example", won the first prize of the 2022 Nankai University Graduate Teaching Achievement Award.
"Exploration and Practice of the Two-Way Internationalization Model of Graduate Education in the Context of New Liberal Arts Background" was jointly completed by Yao Yanbo, Qiu Hanqin, Carson Lewis Jenkins, Zhang Kun, Li Chunxiao, Zhang Beile, Wang Shan, and Zhang Junjiao. Based on summarizing the international education practice of our institute, this project proposed a two-way internationalization model of graduate education under the background of new liberal arts, which integrates the "going out-importing" training concept into the whole system of student training, faculty training, curriculum development, and research promotion in graduate education, forming a four-in-one two-way mechanism of "training objectives-training subjects-training path-support platform." The model consists of one goal (the goal of graduate talent cultivation), two subjects (students and teachers), two paths (curriculum internationalization and research internationalization), and two supports (online education platform and academic exchange platform).
"The New Model of Graduate Education under the Background of Industry-Education Integration—Taking Service Management Courses as an Example" was jointly completed by Bai Changhong, Qiu Wei, Chen Ye, Tuo Yanzhen, Li Zhong, and Huang Jing. With more than ten years of experience in teaching the "Service Management" course and relying on the foundation and advantages of Nankai University's service management direction, the teaching team has gathered a group of teachers with rich teaching experience and development potential. Based on the Service Management course, the teaching team created a new model of industry-education integration that is "characterized", "digitalized", "collaborative", and "ecological". Through innovations such as optimizing the orientation of graduate teaching, building online and offline mixed courses, creating a collaborative platform for multiple subjects, and diversifying industry-education integration teaching modes, the team gradually transformed the previous linear unidirectional "push-type" mode of talent cultivation in universities to a non-linear "pull-type" ecological cultivation mode guided by social demand and characterized by the symbiotic coordination between industry and education systems, achieving good teaching effects.
