The Summer Camp of the College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University officially opened on July 5, 2022. A total of 254 people registered online, and 43 eventually joined the camp. Due to epidemic prevention requirements, the summer camp has to be held online. However, this did not stop the enthusiasm of the students. In total, undergraduate students from 33 universities in China participated in the summer camp.

 

Associate Professor Li Chunxiao, the Director of Postgraduate Education from our college presided over the opening ceremony. First of all, Wang Chenghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, delivered a speech to warmly welcome the students’ participation. Professor Xu Hong, Dean of the College, introduced the history of Nankai University and College of Tourism and Service Management to the students. Professor Yao Yanbo, Vice Dean of the College in charge of graduate work, introduced the characteristics and strong academic atmosphere of postgraduate education in detail. Secondly, Associate Professor Li Chunxiao introduced the current faculty of the college when meeting up with students, and the teachers interacted with the students online.

At the following campus meeting, the students introduced themselves online in the form of group, enabling students to get to know each other rapidly. The college hopes that students can gain and communicate more in this summer camp, and the trip is worth it. After the opening ceremony, the students took photos together online.

 

                                        

  

The summer camp held lots of academic exchange activities. Associate Professor Li Xiaoyi introduced the knowledge relates to consumers behavior and big data in  tourism to the participants based on his own research interests. Associate Professor Zhou Jie introduced the bottleneck and breakthrough mechanism of China’s exhibition industry. Through a series of lectures, campers broadened their horizons and increased their scientific knowledge.

 

On July 6, the college organized an interview for campers. At this point, the 2022 Summer Camp of the College of Tourism and Service Management came to a successful conclusion. The two-day online exchange also gave campers a deeper understanding of College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University. We hope our campers can achieve good results and realize their dreams.
