On the afternoon of April 21, at the 2022 China Tourism Science annual conference hosted by China Tourism Research Institute and co-organized by Ctrip group, the research group of China Tourism Research Institute released "10+2 Classic Cases of Tourism Talent Training", "15+1 Innovation Cases" and special cases of tourism talent training. The conference focused on tourism talent construction and young talent training, and it also discussed discipline construction and tourism talent training in the context of the new stage. The case of "Pioneering the Trend and Opening up the Avenue of Disciplines" submitted by Professor Yao Yanbo of our college was elected as the "10+2 Classic Case of Tourism Talent Training". Professor Yao Yanbo was invited to release the case at the conference.

Professor Yao Yanbo pointed out that Nankai University is the first key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, which offers a bachelor's degree in tourism in China. It has a history of more than 40 years. College of Tourism and Service Management has been deeply engaged in discipline construction and think tank services. It has established a teaching team with doctors and returned personnel as the main body, supported by domestic and foreign experts, scholars and senior managers from the industry. The college actively participates in global issues and dialogues, it has become a member of many world-renowned academic communities and international tourism organizations. In the future, the college will adhere to high academic standards and develop into a leading tourism education college in China with an innovative model and with an international reputation.
