On the morning of June 16, 2021, the signing and awarding ceremony of industrial cooperation between Jizhou District Culture and Tourism Bureau and College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University was held in Jinnan. Li Yidan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Nankai University, warmly met with the leaders of Jizhou District, expressed expectations for the results of research cooperation between the industry and university, and pointed out the direction of cooperation. The event was hosted by Yang Dejin, vice dean of College of Tourism and Service Management.

At the beginning of the event, leaders from both sides watched the promotional film of Jizhou Culture and Tourism Bureau, which showed the rich tourism resources of Jizhou District and the achievements of the innovation development of the whole area tourism. Secretary Yi Yongjun was then entrusted by Secretary Li Yidan to deliver a welcome speech and said that with the rapid development of the national cultural tourism industry, the cooperation between Nankai Tourism Education Division and Jizhou District Cultural and Tourism Bureau could help the college to play the functions of scientific research, talent training, industrial development and supplying service to the society based on the tourism industry of Tianjin in a new historical opportunity. Zhang Jianyu, the district governor, told the story of himself and Nankai, expressed his full affirmation of the professional quality and industry influence of the college, and also thanked the college for its care and attention to Jizhou District. After a comprehensive introduction of the overall situation and development positioning of tourism in Jizhou, District Governor Zhang also hoped to establish a long-term effective government-school-enterprise supply-demand collaboration with the college, to comprehensively enhance the overall image of the tourism brand in Jizhou District, and to work together to create a model of municipal school-enterprise cooperation in Tianjin. Subsequently, Zhang Wenjun, secretary of the Party Committee and director of Jizhou District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Yi Yongjun, secretary of the Party Committee of College of Tourism and Service management of Nankai University, signed a cooperation agreement and held a plaque ceremony to build a practical internship base together.

During the industry cooperation talk, Dean Qiu Hanqin comprehensively elaborated the development history, characteristic advantages and internationalization strategy of Nankai tourism education. She pointed out that the college is building a research center for cultural tourism and rural revitalization, and has recently sorted out the latest development of rural tourism all over the world, which can refer to Boao Forum to build a brand forum in cooperation with Jizhou District, import international resources and enhance the popularity of Jizhou. In terms of cross-fertilization of disciplines, the service learning course platform of the College's undergraduate program can effectively integrate resources, led by tourism, joining multi-disciplinary faculty and students in medicine, art and information technology, etc., to obtain results at the level of scientific research as well as to implement them on the ground at the level of service to society. Subsequently, Director Zhang Wenjun also expressed the urgent need for cutting-edge theories to guide villagers to build high-quality B&Bs and drive the transformation and upgrading of local rural tourism. Researcher Li Shuling, director Wang Yandong and other leaders also put forward the specific content needs of industrial cooperation from different perspectives, to which Vice Dean Yao Yanbo, Secretary Yang Xiaojing, Associate Professor Huang Jing and Zhou Jie responded one by one. At the end of the discussion, both sides agreed to establish a working mechanism as soon as possible to fully promote the rapid implementation of the work.
