(Correspondent: Xue Tao) On May 29, the 9th “Mentor of Nankai University” Contest was wrapped. After the students' nomination, performance demonstration, online voting and public review, Dean Qiu Hanqin of the College won the Award.

25 candidates are selected from 43 graduate supervisors .Two PhD students Xue Tao and Dai Meiling gave an account of Professor Qui- an educator who has over 60 graduate students from across the world, an "immortal" dean @by Nankai University’s official account on Sina Weibo, a practitioner of education reform, a popular teacher who puts public interests above everything else.

Professor Qiu is a knowledgeable and influential expert. She introduced international platform to Nankai University and originated a micro major “International culture and tourism development”. She also actively advocated the construction of Nankai new liberal arts. For the first time, the College of Tourism and service Management rank Top3 in the Ranking. Thanks to Professor Qiu’s unique educational philosophy of "nurture people with atmosphere" and "warm and accompanying education, and also teachers being friends foster growth" has warmed countless students from all over the world, and engraved the great spirits of Nankai teachers in students' hearts， and inspired a new generation of Nankai people to climb the peak of scientific research and make new contributions to the realization of national prosperity, national rejuvenation and people's happiness.
