Recently, the list of NSSFC major projects in Arts in 2020 was announced, and the project "Research on the Improvement of national Happiness Index by Cultural Industry and Tourism" declared by Professor Bai Changhong, chief expert of the college ,was approved. Professor Shi Peihua, Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Development of Modern Tourism Industry, Professor Chen Ye, Deputy Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Development of Modern Tourism Industry ,and Professor Li Hui, Youth Scholar selected into the Youth Talent Project of the Ministry of Education, undertook its subjects respectively and some teachers and doctoral students of the College Tuo Yanzhen, Meng Fanqiang, Li Zhong, Pan Jixiong, Yang Dejin, Li Xiaoyi, Li Chunxiao ,Liang Sai, BiJianwu also participated in the project . The project was co-declared by scholars and experts from Business school of Nankai University, China academy of Culture Media group, the Communication University of China, and Tencent Culture and Tourism Industries Research Institute.
The project responds to the major national strategic issues in the high-quality development and industrial integration of China's cultural and tourism industry, takes “improving the national happiness index” as the goal, and establishes the theoretical logic of” schorlarism-mechanism-governance”. Subproject 1 theoretically sorts out the basic culture industry and tourism industry theories related to the improvement of national happiness index by cultural industry and tourism industry to construct the cognitive basis and theoretical foundation of this topic. Subproject 2 explores the construction of the happiness industry index and its contribution to the national happiness index from the mechanism, and establishes the method tools and practical analysis basis; Subproject 3 Studies the goal direction, main tasks, main paths, main measures and system design of cultural industry and tourism industry to improve national happiness from the perspective of governance.
