This monograph aims to explore the discourse power relationship among all stakeholders of heritage in the process of heritage protection, declaration and management, discuss the relationship between the experiences, feelings, emotions and memories of Chinese tourists and residents of heritage communities and the social and cultural values of world heritages from the perspective of anthropology, and compare and analyze the differences between Chinese and Western world heritages and cultural landscapes in social and cultural values.
Routledge is one of the world’s most prestigious academic publishing houses, and is owned by Taylor & Francis Group. It has published the academic achievements of many internationally renowned world heritage and culture & tourism scholars. The publication of this monograph has the voice of Chinese scholars embodied in the international framework of world heritages. And this is conducive to expanding the participation of China into international heritage affairs, improving the international image of China, and promoting the protection, management and development of heritage sites.
