Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology set up a special key project for reform and development, “The Demonstration Project of Technological Integration and Application of Big Data Cloud Platform for the Silk Road Economic Belt Tourism”, and Professor Shi Peihua of our College served as the chief expert. This project is to give full play to the advantages of scientific research and support “Belt and Road Initiative” in Xinjiang.

The project is aimed at constructing the theoretical framework and method system of digital Silk Road tourism information service, and to formulate a set of technical and storage standards for collecting big data in sky-air-ground tourism. The project is intended to innovate the information system of the whole tourism industry chain from the aspects of technology research and development, commercial operation and tourist service, and to explore the construction of one-stop tourism comprehensive information service system for the Silk Road and the digital Silk Road tourism demonstration and experience center, build an e-commerce system and tourism integrated information service platform for the whole tourism industry chain, and strive to integrate R&D e-commerce system for the tourism industry chain. The chief expert will be responsible to guide the construction of the standard and normative system for tourism big data collection, processing and storage, the overall framework design of the one-stop tourism comprehensive information service system for the Silk Road, to work out special research reports by organizing discussions and research on major issues, to help organize authoritative experts in the field of tourism informationization to provide think tank support, and to offer advanced technology and concept guidance for interactive multi-modal presentation of tourism information.
