From March 28th to 30th, 2019, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism convened the 2019 Work Conference of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism and the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Second Meeting of National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Culture Arts in Guangzhou. Professor Shi Peihua of our college attended the meeting as Vice Chairman of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism.

Zhang Yan, researcher of the Department of Science and Technology Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism chaired the meeting. Sun Ruofeng, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Chairman of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism attended and addressed the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Chairman and members of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism, the secretaries and deans from national tourism vocational institutes, and so on. The meeting reported on the work of the National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism in 2018, issued the Study on China Tourism Talent Supply and Demand Report (2018), and the Annual Report on China's Tourism Vocational Education (2018). Professor Shi Peihua also participated in a group discussion on the 2019 work plan of National Steering Committee for Vocational Education in Tourism and spoke in the panel discussion, putting forward some suggestions on how to further develop the role of the Committee, how to increase scientific research ability in tourism vocational education, and how to promote the integration of production and teaching.
