From January 29 to February 1, 2019, ENTER 2019 was held in Nicosia, Cyprus. The conference is the annual meeting of the International Federation of Tourism Information Technology (IFITT) in 2019. Prof. Li Hui, Prof. Jenkins and teacher Liang Sai, together with three doctors, from the College of Tourism and Service Management of NKU, attended the conference.
The ENTER2019 lasted for 4 days. Day 1: Doctoral Forum was held; then the last three days were mainly used for thesis research and exchanges, including theme lectures, parallel forums and themed sub-forums. At the Doctoral Forum, the thesis proposal cooperated by Chen Qianxia (doctoral student) and Prof. Li Hui was ranked in the third place of “ENTER 2019 BEST PROPOSAL” among 19 research proposals. Teacher Liang Sai also reported the research in the panel discussion on the following day, and deeply communicated with all participating experts.
From February 11 to 14, 2019, the 29th Council for Australian Tourism and Hospitality Education (“CAUTHE 2019”) was successfully held in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Themed “Sustainability of Tourism, Hospitality and Events in a Disruptive Digital Age”, well-known scholars, teachers and doctors in tourism management academic circles from all over the world attended the conference. The thesis of Prof. Yao Yanbo and Liu Yixue (doctoral student) was selected by CAUTHE; Liu Yixue also attended the Conference and made a field report.
CAUTHE2019 was held for four days. On the first day, Bill Faulkner PhD/ECR Annual Conference was held to instruct and discuss in two groups, “Group of Early and Mid-Term PhD Research” and “Group of Later PhD Research and Initial Career Research”. In the last three days, researches and communications were held, including theme lectures, parallel forums, sub-forum discussions, research-interested group meetings. Liu Yixue conducted a field report at the sub-forum “Service and Destination Recovery”, and deeply discussed with participating experts, and accepted the guidance of relevant experts. In addition, Liu Yixue also attended CAUTHE Membership Annual Conference on behalf of Nankai University.
These significant international conferences, which played an active role in the internationalization of the College, not only promoted our communication with scholars at home and abroad but also broadened the academic vision of graduates.
