In the form of “Keynote Speech + Roundtable Forum + Thought Dinner”, Chongqing Alumni Association of Nankai University and Banquet 2018 and First Yuzhou Forum of NKU was observed at Nan’an District, Chongqing, on January 19, 2019, at which Zhu Guanglei, vice-principal of Nankai University, delivered a speech. More than 200 alumni and guests in Chongqing attended the grand meeting. Prof. Yao Yanbo, vice president of the College of Tourism and Service Management, was invited to attend the meeting and gave a keynote speech themed “Building Elderly Friendly Tourist Destinations”.

Sponsored by Chongqing Alumni Association of Nankai University, Hu Jun, secretary general of the Association, said that the Forum was not only one of the series of activities to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the alma mater, but also a wisdom platform for gathering hotspots in different industries relying on excellent alumni resources. Alumni attending the Banquet in Chongqing included Li Daihui, attended the Tourism Department in 1983, as well as Tan Min (1987), and Wang Zhuoyuan (1992). Teacher Liang Shuling, who was responsible for contacting alumni, teacher Sun Ruirui, who was responsible for industrial cooperation, and director Liu Xinyu, who was responsible for enrollment of Master of Tourism Management (MTA), attended this event.

Before then, Prof. Yao Yanbo and other people also visited Qin Dingbo, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Committee on the afternoon of January 18. They discussed and communicated the cooperation in terms of talent cultivation, wisdom tourism, all-for-one tourism planning etc.
