Recently, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture announced several identification results for project conclusion of former China National Tourism Administration. A scientific research project, Research on the Evaluation of China’s Tourism Market Order and Innovative Supervision System (Project No.: 17TABG011), which was hosted by Prof. Yao Yanbo, was awarded the excellent conclusion.
Based on the practices of China’s tourism, this thesis mainly focuses on the chaotic market order and unsound regulation system in China’s tourism industry over the years. In view of this, it deeply discussed the evaluation of market order and supervision of tourism market in a qualitative and quantitative manner according to the research idea from “general” to “specific” one. Starting from the particularity of the tourism market order, the thesis explores the concept, dimension and internal mechanism of the tourism market order, and constructs a theoretical analysis framework for the tourism market order using qualitative research methods. Then, the thesis screens out the evaluation indicators that can accurately measure China’s tourism market order, and builds an evaluation system of tourism market order based on multiple perspectives and suitable for China’s national conditions with the adoption of empirical research methods, supporting with case studies, research interviews and questionnaires. The research achievements will not only enrich and expand the boundaries and research scope of market order theory, but also propel the scientific connotation of local tourism management and the construction of theoretical logic.Meanwhile, these achievements also contribute to the tourism regulatory subjects to effectively evaluate and supervise the market order. In this way, it is possible to solve the misconduct problem of tourism enterprise fundamentally and create a fair and open tourism market environment. In the end, the fair competition among different kinds of tourism enterprises will be promoted, and the health and sustainable development of China’s tourism industry will also be realized.
