On September 19th, New Age Women's Development Forum of China's Tourism, sponsored by China Tourism Association and undertaken by China Women Tourism Committee, was held in Beijing. A total of 150 people including Gu Xiulian, vice chairman of the 10th National People's Congress, Zhen Yan, deputy director of the 12th Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, former vice chairman of the All-China Women's Federation, Du Yili, former deputy director of the China National Tourism Administration, and outstanding female managers from various provinces and cities attended the forum.

The forum was hosted by China Tourism Association, supported by China Association of Travel Services, China Tourism Hotel Association, China Tourist Attractions Association, China Tourism Automobile and Cruise Association and tourism associations of various provinces (cities, autonomous regions), and undertaken by the China Women Tourism Committee.

Prof. Xu Hong of our college has won the award of the Times Scholar in the selection of the role candidates, after rounds of selection, and has become one of the six winners, reflecting the level and status of the tourism education at Nankai University in the national tourism education community.

The forum and recommendation activities show that Chinese women are not only fully participate in the development of various fields of tourism, but also create a good performance. Female role models have made outstanding contributions to the industry and set benchmarks for women in the tourism industry.
