Recently, the Ministry of Education officially announced the list of 2017 “Chang Jiang Scholars Program”. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” of the Ministry of Education, Li Hui, a professor and doctoral adviser of our college, was selected as the young scholar through a series of procedures of school recommendation, communication review, conference defence, candidate publicity, review board approval, and appointment contract signing, etc.

The “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” was a special program jointly funded by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Foundation to support colleges and universities, to recruit elites from young and middle-aged academic circles at home and abroad, to train high-level academic leaders, and to lead national key constructive disciplines to catch up with and surpass world levels. Since the implementation in 1998, it has produced a group of leading talents with international influence. Beginning in 2015, the program set up the “Chang Jiang Young Scholars” project for the first time. After years of development, the “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” has become an important part of the national major talent project.
