From April 12th to 13th, China's largest Internet + Digital Economy sharing and exchange platform - China “Internet +” Digital Economy Summit 2018 was held in Chongqing. This is the largest high-end summit focusing on the “Internet +” digital economy in China. It was held in the Midwest regions for the first time this year, with the theme of “Boost New Ecology, Share New Opportunity”. Mayor Tang Liangzhi, also the Deputy Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee, and Zhang Jianxing, Vice President of the People's Daily, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Ma Huateng, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Tencent, Fu Yuning, Chairman of China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd., Liu Qiangdong, Chairman and CEO of the Board of Directors of Jingdong Group and others attended the summit. Apart from discussing the macro topics related to the industry in the main forum by the guests, it also set up corresponding sub-forums around the 12 hot areas, for the purpose of depth discussion of the application of “Internet +” in different industries. More than 3,000 government officials, scholars, experts and business representatives from all over the country participated in the summit to probe into the development and innovation of various industries under the Internet + assistance.

Prof. Shi Peihua from our college was invited to attend the Internet + Summit Tourism Sub-forum 2018 and delivered a keynote speech named Internet Global Cultural Tourism New Ecology.
