On November 12, 2017, themed by "Learning and Implementing the Spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, Serving the Collaborative Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region" the High-end Seminar on the Development of Xiongan New District and Tianjin was convened in the conference building of Tianjin University. The seminar was jointly held by Tianjin Social Science Association, the School of Public Management under the Department of Management and Economics of Tianjin University and the Tian Jin Bohai Rim Economic Research Institute  . Professor Yang Kaizhong (director of China Regional Science Society and vice-president of Capital University of Economics and Business), Professor Xiao Jincheng (deputy director of China Regional Economy Society and former director of Research Institute of Territorial Development and Regional Economy of China Macroeconomic Research Institute), Professor Liu Binglian (member of National Expert Advisory Committee for the Collaborative Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and dean of Economic and Social Development Research Institute of Nankai University), Professor Li Jiaxiang (former secretary of leading Party group of Tianjin Social Science Association and dean of Economic and Social Development Research Institute of Tianjin Normal University), Professor Fu Liping (deputy director of Tianjin Public Administration Society and Dean of the School of Public Administration of Tianjin University) and Professor Yang Lei (dean of Finance Research Institute of Hebei Finance University and deputy director of Xiongan New District Construction and Development Research Center)  have delivered keynote speeches in the seminar held in the forenoon.  

Xu Hong, deputy dean of our School, was present at the conference on invitation, and she also directed a parallel seminar themed by "Learning the Spirits of the 19th  CPC Central Committee and Accelerating the Fulfillment of the Positioning of Tianjin City”, during which, experts from Nankai university, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin University and Binhai Research Institute in Tianjin delivered speeches, and the Professor Tang Jialong (director of Innovation and Development Strategy Research Center of Tianjin Polytechnic University) have made corresponding comments. The whole conference ended successfully in 4:30 p.m.
