During the period October 14-15, 2017, “International Summit on the Development of Chinese Beautiful Countryside and Leisure Agriculture” was convened in Qingdao. As invited, Professor Xu Hong of School of Tourism and Service Management were present and made a keynote speech in the conference held in the forenoon of October 14 on "reflections on the development of leisure agriculture and countryside tourism under an inclusive development prospective", and then in the afternoon of the same day, she directed a dialogue forum included Joseph · Farrell (dean of School of Carving Arts and director of Sound Art Laboratory of Spanish University of Barcelona), Li Gaoli (doctor of architecture of Catalonia Institute of Technology and a distinguished professor of Architectural Drawing Expression Department of Barcelona School of Architecture), John · Wells (global design supervisor of American MCM International Group), Yao Zigang (associate professor of Landscape Planning Department of East China University of Science and Technology), Tu Changfeng (deputy dean of China Creativity Institute and dean of Lvwei Cultural Tourism Strategy Panning Institute) and other experts as participants on the theme of the key to resolving the designing and planning in leisure agriculture tourism and the significant point in the practical implementing jobs related to tourist project. The two-day conference witnessed heated discussions with numerous viewpoints, and the exchanges and collisions between participants from National Development and Reform Commission, scientific research institutes and the field of industrial practices, have deepened the recognition and understanding of the development policies, technical designs and project planning regarding leisure agriculture, this will help promote the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese leisure agriculture and countryside tourism.
