On September 11, the first school day of the new semester, Yan Chunhua (vice-president of Nankai university) came to the School of Tourism and Service Management to inspect work in the new semester in the company of Wu Zhicheng (division head of International Exchange Division).

Yan Chunhua visited the MICE laboratory of our School, innovation and venture base for students and research room for doctoral students, acknowledged specifics about new students’ enrollment, undergraduates’ return to school and teaching staff’s reaching their positions and listened to the work report made by Dean Bai Changhong on establishing first-class tourism disciplines and proposed higher requirements for work related to such aspects as construction of teaching staff, introduction of upmarket talents, innovative research in cooperation with strengths outside Nankai University and international exchanges and cooperation. He hoped that all the teachers and students of the School of Tourism and Service Management would actively have academic researches serving the development of national tourism strategy closely integrated with talent cultivation and teaching reform and help students cultivate the awareness of "gongneng" (dedication to public interests and acquisition of all-around ability), practical ability and innovation spirits. Chen Jing, the secretary of the university's party committee expressed that our School would seriously fulfill the instructions and requirements of leaders of our University and, taking patrol rectification as the opportunity, comprehensively promote the integration of the construction of grassroots Party organization and the development of our School’s disciplines, so as to make larger achievements.
