During the period June 12-13, “2017 national training class for Taiwan-oriented tourism work (first batch)” sponsored by National Tourism Administration and undertaken by the School of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University was successfully held in Tianjin. With over 260 trainees, the training class for Taiwan-oriented tourism was mainly composed of persons in charge of tourism authorities and travel agents on Taiwan-oriented tourism from totally 16 provinces (districts and cities), including Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Guangdong.      

During the training, Bai Changhong, dean of our School, was invited to give the training class a lesson on “development of inbound tourism market for Taiwan compatriots”. Meanwhile, to ensure the successful and smooth holding of the training class, Li Zhong (deputy dean of our School) and such teachers as Wang Shan, Tuo Yanzhen, Ha Zhiyong and Liang Shuling led over 10 students (2013 and 2014) of our School majoring in MICE to form a work group to supply comprehensive services and guarantees for the training class. Besides, Professor Ma Xiaolong of our School was invited to give a lesson on “development of inbound market for Taiwan compatriots” to “2017 national training class for Taiwan-oriented tourism work (second batch)” held on June 22 in Yinchuan, Ningxia.      

A few days ago, National Tourism Administration specially sent us a letter to fully affirm all the efforts having made by the teachers and students of our School for “2017 national training class for Taiwan-oriented tourism work” and to express its sincere gratitude to our School.
