According to report of China News, Tianjin on June 23 (reporter Zhang Daozheng, correspondent, Ma Chao) The young scholar Lu Lu from the world’s top university of American Temple University visited the School of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University on June 23 and delivered a lecture on “reading the mind of customers--the effect of health products on consumers’ dietary decision-making” for teachers and students of Nankai University. This was the seventh sub-forum of Nankai University International Talent Forum · Tourism Research Scholar Forum held by the School of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University in this month.
In order to enhance the communication with scholars at home and aboard and promote construction of talent teams and disciplinary development of our School, School of Tourism and Service Management held the first tourism researcher sub-forum of Nankai University International Talent Forum. This forum designed 10 academic lectures in 24 days, which greatly enriched the short semester course of master and doctoral students of our School in short semester.
Centering on current hot topics concerned by the tourism research field, including such contents as tourism discipline construction, tourist experience, tourist perception value and tourist destination image, Nankai University International Talent Forum · Tourism Research Scholar Forum invited totally 10 international young scholars from America, England and other countries and regions. For the School of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University, all the members of its academic committee, its academic leaders, young teachers as well as doctoral and master students respectively attended various sub-forums and implemented in-depth exchanges with international scholars.
During her lecture, Lulu, based around the psychological position of consumers against health-related special foods and their decision-making process in terms of restaurant selection, introduced four novelty and interesting psychological phenomena to help the audience recognize different responses of consumers to different catering products. Integrating cutting-edge scientific research achievements in the fields of marketing and hotel management that have been published in world top-class academic journals, the lecture was quite enlightening to Nankai students.
Lulu expressed her hope that she could implemented in-depth exchanges with Chinese young scholars and college students in terms of the cutting-edge knowledge that she has learned, and that theses scientific research achievements could benefit the development of relevant fields or disciplines of China.
